Job summary

Pura Vida Miami is seeking a friendly hospitality team member to join our Potomac, MD location. You will welcome guests, take orders, and ensure a warm, memorable experience from first contact to checkout.

A passion for great service, strong communication, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting are essential. You’ll collaborate with the team to maintain quality, safety, and efficiency across all shifts.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests as they enter the store and provide an inviting, memorable experience.
• Take customer orders using our POS system with accuracy.
• Provide high level customer service, addressing questions promptly and courteously.
• Know menu items, ingredients, allergies, and benefits to help customers choose wisely.
• Assist in preparing and delivering food, maintaining quality and presentation.
• Restock stations, keep areas clean, organized, and stocked.
• Follow health and food safety policies to ensure a safe environment.
• Collaborate with manager and team to maintain smooth operations.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Welcome all guests as they enter the store and provide them with an inviting and memorable experience.
• Efficiently and accurately take customer orders using our POS system, ensuring all transactions are correct and complete.
• Provide the highest level of customer service, addressing any questions or requests promptly and courteously.
• Have a thorough understanding of our menu items, including ingredients, allergies and benefits, to help customers make informed choices.
• Assist in preparing and delivering delicious food to guests, maintaining high standards of quality and presentation.
• Restock stations regularly to ensure they are clean, organized, and fully stocked with necessary supplies.
• Follow all policies and procedures for health and food safety, ensuring an inviting environment for both guests and team members.
• Collaborate with your manager and team members to maintain smooth operations and a positive work atmosphere.
• Support with any additional duties assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

• Previous experience in the hospitality and/or food service industry (e.g. restaurant, hotel, etc.)
• Passionate about providing excellent customer service.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
