Key Responsibilities:

• Process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently at the check lane.
• Understand and operate the Point of Sale (POS) system, handling various tenders including cash, checks, credit, debit, SNAP EBT, WIC, rain checks, loyalty offers, and coupons according to company policy.
• Adhere to cash handling limits and work honestly to control loss.
• Follow guidelines on restricted sale items such as alcohol, tobacco, and DVDs.
• Report pricing discrepancies and follow policies for postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons.
• Stay informed about current and upcoming advertisements.
• Comply with food safety regulations and safety procedures, reporting unsafe conditions or incidents.
• Maintain equipment and notify management of repairs needed.
• Create a welcoming environment for customers by answering questions and providing assistance.
• Follow all applicable laws and company policies.
• Work cooperatively in a fast-paced environment, managing conflicts professionally.
• Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
• Follow directions and seek help when needed to resolve issues.
