Job summary

Robinson Rancheria Resort & Casino seeks a cashier to deliver excellent guest service by accurately processing food and beverage orders at the POS system. You will manage cash with care, maintain a clean workstation, and stay current on health, safety and gaming compliance requirements.

The role requires clear communication, a professional appearance, and flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and event-driven shifts in a fast-paced casino setting.

SUMMARY:The cashier is responsible for providing excellent guest service by accurately and efficiently processing the guest’s food and beverage purchases.ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:Greets guests and efficiently processes food and beverage orders and purchases through the Point of Sale (POS) System.Maintains the accountability and security of their individual cash drawer.Stocks and cleans workstation/venue to ensure presentable products.Ensures and collects appropriate guest payment for food and beverage service.Always maintains a professional and tidy appearance.Communicates in a positive, respectful manner to both internal and external guests.Builds and maintains knowledge of food and beverage offerings to ensure all questions are answered appropriately and accurately.Must maintain excellent attendance and be available to work events and varied schedules per business need.Performs other special projects and duties as assigned.QUALIFICATIONS:Ability to work in a team-oriented, fast-paced, event-driven environment.Ability to communicate with team members, management staff and guests in a clear, business-like, and respectful manner which focuses on generating a positive enthusiastic and cooperative work environment.Must acquire and maintain a valid Environmental Health Food Handlers Card, Alcohol Awareness Certification, Suspicious Activity, Cash Handling, and other required compliance training.Ability to handle cash accurately and responsibly.Ability to calculate basic math functions (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages) as they relate to POS cash/credit transactions, cash reconciliation and product inventory.Ability to clearly communicate, read and write in English.Must be willing to work weekends, holidays, and any shift.LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS/OTHERMust be able to pass background check and receive a gaming license from the Robinson Rancheria Gaming Commission as required to work in gaming operations.Experience working in a fast-paced, high volume fine dining, casual, and/or nightclub is preferred.Wine and alcohol knowledge preferred.Must have a High School Diploma, G.E.D. or related Food Service Job Experience.Must pass an annual Title 31 exam.All applicants must be at least 18 years of age.AMERICAN INDIAN PREFERENCERobinson Rancheria Resort & Casino is a Native American Indian enterprise.
