Job summary

7th Street Burger Lower East Side is seeking a positive and enthusiastic Cashier who loves to serve in a fast-paced New York setting. You will count registers, input orders, and handle cash, cards, and mobile payments while maintaining a clean counter area.

Join our growing team to create a welcoming experience for customers and support cooks to ensure order accuracy and smooth workflow across shifts.

Qualifications

• Experience in a high-volume, fast-paced restaurant environment.
• Food handler certification is strongly preferred but not required.
• Creates an engaging welcoming environment for customers.
• Previous experience in customer service and cash handling preferred.

Responsibilities

• Count the register - open and closing.
• Close out the register at night.
• Accurately input customer orders into the POS (Point of Sale) system.
• Process cash, credit card, and mobile payments efficiently.
• Maintain cleanliness on counter and in garbage areas.
• Communicate and work closely with the cooks to ensure order accuracy.
• Support fellow cashiers and collaborate to ensure workflow.
