Responsibilities

As a Cashier, you are the face of the company, processing each customer's order quickly, accurately, and efficiently while ensuring complete customer satisfaction through prompt and friendly service. Your duties include handling cash, credit/debit payments, and providing information and resolving complaints. You will also assist with stocking shelves, facing, dusting, and maintaining the checkout area in a clean and orderly condition. Knowledge of weekly ad items, product locations, and store events is essential. Maintaining excellent communication with the front end manager and Head Cashier is expected. All other related duties as assigned should be executed diligently.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent, and have 1-2 years of recent cashiering experience.
• Display an outgoing and friendly demeanor, a positive attitude, and the ability to interact effectively with customers.
• Ability to operate front end equipment such as registers, calculators, and scanners.
• Dependability and flexibility to work varying schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Good communication skills, capable of taking direction and participating in a team environment.
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks, multi-task, prioritize, and stay organized.
• Physical ability to lift/carry up to 30 lbs. and move grocery carts requiring up to 35 lbs. of force, for up to 50 hours.
• Strong attention to detail, proficiency with numbers, and excellent cash handling and mathematical skills.
