Sullivan's Foods is a proud member of the Coborn's, Inc. Family of Stores. Sullivan's operates a variety of grocery store and Ace Hardware locations as well as a convenience store, all within the state of Illinois!

Coborn's, Inc. is a fast-growing employee-owned grocery retailer located in the Midwest. Coborn's, Inc. also owns and operates liquor stores under the Coborn's Liquor, Cash Wise Liquor, Andy’s Liquor and Captain Jack's brands. Additionally, our fuel and convenience division, pharmacy, in-house grocery warehouse and distribution center, in-house Central Bakery, in-house Fresh Foods Commissary, and Tops Cleaners are significant assets to our operations. We also have a handful of other retail entities in the markets where the fit is right: Little Dukes, Ace Hardware, Country Floral Gifts & Greenhouse, Caribou Coffee, Dunn Bros Coffee, Erbert and Gerbert's, and Pet Supplies Plus.

Overview

The primary focus of this position is to provide exceptional guest service by operating a cash register and assisting guests with a “Say Yes to the Guest” attitude. This individual is responsible for scanning, ringing and/or entering customer merchandise into the cash register, collecting customer payment and delivering appropriate change, bagging and assisting customers with questions or concerns.

As a cashier on our team, you can expect to:

• Operate a cash register in an accurate and efficient manner. Collect money, checks, electronic payments, and coupons from the guest and make correct change and assure the security of the cash drawer at all times.
• Scan or ring items accurately and efficiently. Identify and key in department numbers, produce items, UPC numbers, look up numbers, weights, and other items that are unable to scan.
• Assist guests with locating merchandise and answering questions and/or concerns. Assist with bagging guest merchandise in a careful manner as necessary.
