Job summary

Buc-ee's in Madisonville, TX is hiring a friendly Cashier to provide fast, accurate checkout services and help maintain an in-store experience that is clean, in-stock, and welcoming. You will transact items at the POS, handle various payment methods, balance the cash drawer, process exchanges and refunds, assist with stocking, and train new cashiers.

Weekend and holiday shifts required. The role requires strong math, clear communication, and the ability to stand long hours while maintaining

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Basic math skills.
• Listen to the needs of the customer and communicate clearly.
• Attain mastery knowledge of POS functions.

Responsibilities

• Execute a clean, friendly and in-stock experience for every customer.
• Accurately transacts customer items for checkout on POS units and all acceptable methods of payment.
• Transact beer purchases in accordance with all state alcoholic beverage laws.
• Balance cash drawer at beginning and end of each shift.
• Process exchanges and refunds per company policy.
• Maintain clean and tidy checkout area.
• Assist in stocking, rotating merchandise and marking labels.
• Serve as first responder to customer complaints.
• Train new cashiers.
• Perform other duties as required and/or assigned.
• Must be flexible and able to work weekends and holidays and store’s busiest days.
