Minimum Position Qualifications:

• Customer service experience

• Knowledge of basic math (counting, addition, and subtraction)

• Prior experience as a Bagger or Courtesy Clerk

Responsibilities:

• Being visible and actively greeting, engaging, and assisting customers.
• Processing customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently.
• Understanding the Point of Sale (POS) system, handling various tenders such as Cash, Checks, Credit, Debit, SNAP EBT, Offline SNAP EBT, WIC, Rain checks, complex loyalty offers, coupons, and checkout procedures according to company policy.
• Adhering to company's cash shortage/overage limits and working honestly to control loss.
• Following guidelines on restricted sale items (Alcohol, Tobacco, DVDs).
• Reporting pricing discrepancies to the Scan Coordinator.
• Following policies for postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons.
• Staying current with advertisements and promotions.
• Adhering to food safety regulations and guidelines.
• Practicing safety procedures, identifying unsafe conditions, and notifying management.
• Inspecting equipment and reporting repairs needed.
• Creating a welcoming environment for customers by answering questions about products.
• Complying with all laws and company guidelines.
• Performing essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
