Position Summary

The Cashier is responsible for processing customer transactions through the POS registers. They provide excellent customer service, greet and acknowledge customers promptly and courteously, and handle merchandise with care.

Essential Functions

1. Support a commitment to world-class customer service and ensure a positive shopping experience.
2. Approach customers in a friendly and outgoing manner.
3. Maintain product knowledge and awareness of current sales.
4. Stock and straighten shelves when not ringing up customers.
5. Assist customers in making buying decisions by identifying needs, recommending products, and promoting programs like CLUB Membership, VOC, and In-Store Pick-up.
6. Perform other duties as assigned.

Experience/Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Ability to calculate discounts and make change accurately.
• Excellent communication skills in a friendly and professional manner.
• Ability to establish effective working relationships with management, coworkers, and customers.
• Proficiency in operating a computerized POS system.

• Constant standing and walking during shifts.
• Occasional climbing ladders, stairs, or ramps.
