Job summary

Propark Mobility is seeking a full-time Cashier in Houston, TX to manage payments, issue tickets, and guide patrons to parking spaces. You will maintain a neat cashier booth, follow SOPs for cash handling, and deliver friendly customer service in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• One year of related experience with cash handling.
• High School degree preferred.
• Ability to read, comprehend, and communicate effectively both verbally and through written correspondence.
• Ability to safely drive a standard or automatic transmission vehicle.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to maintain a professional and friendly demeanor when working with other employees and the parking customer.
• Ability to provide customer resolution in a professional and friendly manner.

Responsibilities

• Direct patrons where to park and assist when spaces are full.
• Verify the cash bank and start-of-shift readiness.
• Issue tickets to customers, recording the required information on each ticket.
• Collect payments via cash, credit card or validation, securing cash per SOP.
• Process exception transactions according to company policy, including completing the applicable form.
• Provide correct change and issue receipts for all fee transactions.
• Complete daily shift paperwork with transaction counts and occupancy figures.
• Maintain a neat cashier booth at all times, with clean windows and no unapproved posters.
• Provide the company’s standard of service with greeting, answers to questions, and resolution of issues upon exit.
• May be asked to complete small cleaning or maintenance tasks as directed by management.
• Assist with other special projects as assigned.

Pay Rate: $13.00 per hour

Shift & Schedule: Monday - Friday 9:00 a.m - 5:30 p.m

What we're looking for

• Direct patrons where to park and assist when spaces are full.
• Verify the “bank” of cash provided for change and necessary supplies at the start of each shift
• Issue tickets to customers, recording the required information on each ticket.
• Collect payment either through cash, credit card or validation always securing cash according to the company’s standard operating procedures.
• Process exception transactions (e.g., lost tickets, grace period tickets, etc.) according to company policy, including completing the applicable form.
• Provide the correct change for cash transactions and issue a receipt for all fee transactions.
• Complete the daily shift paperwork by recording the number of transactions by parking rate, number of vehicles in and out of the facility, number of contract parkers, vehicles left in the facility, number of validated tickets and exception tickets.
• Maintain a neat and orderly cashier booth at all times, free of debris and trash with clean windows void of unapproved company posters or decorative hangings.
• Provide the company’s standards of service with each customer including maintaining the required uniform appearance, stating the company greeting, answering questions, resolving issues and thanking each customer upon exit.
• May be asked by local management to complete small cleaning or maintenance tasks according to the company’s maintenance checklists.
• Other special projects as assigned by location management.
