Responsibilities include:

1. Providing efficient and courteous service to customers, including managing check-out procedures and ensuring register sign-off only after relief.
2. Scanning and ringing customer orders following company policies and standards.
3. Handling and being accountable for all funds during transactions.
4. Assisting courtesy clerks with bagging groceries.
5. Maintaining cleanliness of the work station and surrounding area.
6. Knowing and complying with laws regarding alcohol sales, WIC handling, coupons, and various tendering procedures.
7. Using assigned tills properly and following proper procedures for change and transactions.
8. Taking weekly produce tests and ensuring all not-on-file items are recorded daily.
9. Using the intercom properly and avoiding conversations while checking out orders.
10. Understanding and explaining the ValuCard program.
11. Assisting with light stocking duties and maintaining cleanliness in the store, including bathrooms.
12. Performing other duties as assigned.
