Job Description

Responsibilities
Essential Job Functions:
- Greet, engage, and assist customers visibly and actively.
- Process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently.
- Handle various tenders and understand POS system operations.
- Adhere to cash handling policies and loss prevention guidelines.
- Follow guidelines for restricted sale items.
- Report pricing discrepancies and follow policies for postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons.
- Stay current with ads and promotions.
- Follow food safety regulations and safety procedures.
- Identify unsafe conditions and notify management.
- Inspect equipment and report repairs needed.
- Create a welcoming environment and assist customers with product inquiries.
- Comply with all laws and company policies.
- Work effectively in a high-paced environment and manage conflicts professionally.
- Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
- Follow directions and seek assistance when needed.
- Support customers including minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
- Perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
Qualifications
Minimum Position Qualifications:
- Customer service experience
- Effective communication skills
- Basic math skills (counting, addition, subtraction)
Desired Previous Job Experience:
- Customer service experience
- Experience as a Bagger or Courtesy Clerk
