Job Responsibilities:

1. Process customer transactions efficiently and accurately at the check lane.
2. Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system, handling various tenders including cash, checks, credit, debit, SNAP EBT, WIC, Rain checks, loyalty offers, coupons, and checkout procedures according to company policy.
3. Adhere to company cash handling limits and control loss effectively.
4. Follow guidelines on restricted sale items such as alcohol, tobacco, and DVDs.
5. Report pricing discrepancies to the Scan Coordinator.
6. Follow policies for postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons.
7. Stay updated on current and upcoming promotions and advertisements.
8. Comply with food safety regulations and safety procedures, reporting unsafe conditions or incidents.
9. Maintain equipment and notify management of repairs needed.
10. Create a welcoming environment for customers by assisting with product questions and providing excellent service.
11. Follow all applicable laws and company guidelines.
12. Work cooperatively in a fast-paced environment and manage conflicts professionally.
13. Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
14. Follow directions and seek assistance when needed to resolve issues.
15. Support and assist vulnerable customers, including minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
16. Perform essential functions of the role with or without reasonable accommodations.
