Role: Cashier (Guest Service Expert)

• Greet guests with a smile! Welcome new and returning guests every visit
• Promote a fun and positive work environment
• Work well with others and communicate effectively in a busy restaurant environment
• Be knowledgeable of all menu items to make suggestions & answer questions
• Verify orders for accuracy, manage to-go orders, process POS transactions, and understand the Smashburger rewards program
• Visit tables after food delivery to ensure guest satisfaction (refills, condiments, etc.)
• Adhere to marketing promotions and encourage guest surveys
• Follow all safety and security standards to ensure a safe work environment
• Maintain cleanliness of floors, counters, dining area, and restrooms
• Listen, communicate, and work effectively with team members
• Uphold integrity and do the right thing at all times
• Follow cash handling policies to prevent theft or shortages
• Upsell menu items through thoughtful suggestions
• Ensure order accuracy to maximize guest satisfaction and minimize waste

Cashier (GSE) Requirements

• No experience necessary - we build skills! Must complete Smashburger training
• Must be at least 16 years old
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
• Availability to work variable hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Ability to produce authorized U.S. work documents; Smashburger participates in E-Verify
