Job Responsibilities:

• Process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently at the check lane.
• Understand and operate the Point of Sale (POS) system, handling various tenders such as cash, checks, credit/debit cards, SNAP EBT, WIC, Rain checks, loyalty offers, and coupons according to company policy.
• Adhere to company policies on cash handling, loss prevention, and restricted sale items (Alcohol, Tobacco, DVDs).
• Report pricing discrepancies and follow established procedures for postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons.
• Stay current with advertisements and promotions.
• Follow all food safety regulations and guidelines.
• Reinforce safety programs, report unsafe conditions or incidents, and participate in safety procedures.
• Maintain equipment and report repairs as needed.
• Create a welcoming environment by assisting customers and answering questions about products.
• Comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.
• Work cooperatively in a fast-paced, sometimes stressful environment.
• Manage conflicts professionally and act with honesty and integrity.
• Follow directions and seek assistance to resolve issues.
• Support customers with special needs, minors, and older adults.
