Job summary

Ed Martin Automotive Group is seeking a friendly cashier to process payments, issue receipts, and provide a smooth customer experience at the dealership. The role includes ongoing tasks in a fast-paced environment and requires attention to detail and reliable cash handling.

The position emphasizes POS operations, basic bookkeeping skills, and strong communication to ensure accurate transactions and excellent service for customers and team members.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in office administration or related fields is preferred.
• Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Receive cash, checks and credit card payments from customers and record amounts.
• Make change accurately and issue receipts to customers.
• Operate switchboard and answer calls professionally.
• Maintain friendly, efficient interactions with customers and employees.
• Perform other clerical duties as assigned.

About

Ed Martin Automotive Group is looking to add Cashiers to our growing team. Ideal candidates will have prior cash handling, Point of Sale and understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting practices. Cashiers are responsible for receiving and recording accurate payments from customers and ensuring they have a great experience during the process.

Responsibilities

• Receive cash, checks and credit card payments from customers and record the amount received on the repair order and/or counter ticket
• Make change accurately and issue receipts to customer
• Operate switchboard telephone system
• Communicate with callers in a professional, friendly and efficient manner, striving to minimize the amount of time customers spend on hold
• Be friendly, professional, courteous and efficient when working with all customers and employees
• Other clerical duties as assigned
