Cashiers play a critical customer service role by providing customers with fast, friendly, accurate, and safe service. They process checkout and/or return transactions, monitor and maintain the Self-Checkout area, and proactively seek product knowledge to assist customers and identify selling opportunities. They follow all policies to minimize shrinkage. A Head Cashier supports cashiers by expediting price checks, approving transactions and markdowns, and providing escalation for customer issues. They also assist in supervising, coaching, and training other Front End Associates, including new Cashiers. The preferred qualification for a Head Cashier is 1+ years of cashier experience.
