Minimum Position Qualifications:

• Customer service experience
• Effective communication skills
• Knowledge of basic math (counting, addition, and subtraction)

Essential Job Functions:

• Greeting, engaging, and assisting customers actively and visibly.
• Processing customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently.
• Understanding the Point of Sale (POS) system and handling various tenders according to company policy.
• Adhering to company's cash handling limits and loss prevention procedures.
• Following guidelines on restricted sale items (Alcohol, Tobacco, DVDs).
• Reporting pricing discrepancies and following policies for postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons.
• Staying current with ads and promotions.
• Adhering to food safety regulations and safety procedures.
• Reporting unsafe conditions and participating in safety programs.
• Creating a welcoming environment for customers and assisting with product inquiries.
• Following all applicable laws and company policies.
• Working cooperatively in a high-paced, sometimes stressful environment.
• Managing conflicts professionally and acting with honesty and integrity.
• Supporting and assisting vulnerable customers, including minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
• Performing essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
