Job Description

Big 5 Sporting Goods is seeking an energetic, sports-minded individual to join our customer service team. The position typically attracts enthusiastic, detail-oriented candidates with strong customer service backgrounds or relevant educational paths. Cashiers are responsible for managing the front counter POS (register) terminal, handling cash transactions, bagging purchased merchandise, greeting customers, answering phones, directing sales associates via PA system, stocking shelves, and maintaining the cleanliness and presentation of merchandise on the sales floor. The goal is to ensure a pleasant shopping experience for all customers.

Minimum Requirements
  1. Must be 18 years of age or older
  2. Basic organizational and/or applicable math skills
  3. Acceptance of E-Verify upon accepting the position
  4. Ability to perform light to moderate lifting, with or without reasonable accommodation
  5. Effective communication and interpersonal skills
