Job summary

ENGIE North America Inc. in Houston is seeking a Retail Operations Intern to support the Cash Application & Broker Commissions teams, handling payments, reconciling accounts, and assisting with reporting.

Qualifications

• Pursuing degree in accounting/finance/business administration or related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial systems; ERP experience is a plus.
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Apply incoming payments to customer accounts and invoices accurately.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies in payments or customer accounts.
• Assist in reconciling daily bank transactions and identify exceptions.
• Collaborate with accounting to improve cash application efficiency.
• Work with unclaimed property to ensure proper distribution and accounting.
• Support month-end closing with relevant documentation.
