Job summary

ENGIE North America is offering a Retail Operations Analyst Intern role in Houston, focusing on cash application and broker commissions. The internship runs January 11 through March 26, 2027, with a full-time 40-hour workweek and a hybrid work policy (three days in the office, two remote).

As an intern, you will apply payments to customer accounts, resolve discrepancies, and assist with bank reconciliations while supporting month-end close and reporting processes.

Job description

As a Retail Operations Analyst Intern, you will support the Cash Application & Broker Commissions teams in processing and reconciling payments, ensuring accuracy in financial transactions, and assisting with reporting. This role provides valuable hands-on experience in financial operations and exposure to cash application processes within a fast-paced environment.

This internship will span from January 11 thru March 26, 2027, full-time work schedule working 40 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities:

• Apply incoming payments to customer accounts and invoices accurately
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies in payments or customer accounts
• Assist in reconciling daily bank transactions and identifying exceptions
• Collaborate with the accounting team to improve cash application efficiency
• Work with unclaimed property team to ensure items are properly distributed and accounted for
• Support the month-end closing process by preparing relevant documentation
• Communicate with customers or internal teams regarding payment issues when necessary.

What You’ll Bring

Compensation

Hourly Range: $22.50 - $31.00 USD hourly

This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.
