Job summary

The University of Texas at Austin is seeking a Finance Manager to lead the Cash Management section within the AFM Treasury, ensuring accurate reconciliations and efficient banking operations.

You will supervise staff, drive process improvements, and coordinate with vendors and internal stakeholders to support university-wide financial management. The role includes a hybrid work option and a strong benefits package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Management, or Business Administration and supervisory experience required.
• At least 6 years of professional accounting or financial experience; 3+ years in supervisory roles.
• Knowledge of GAAP and standard financial, accounting, and auditing practices.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership by developing personnel and implementing process improvements.
• Assist Financial Analyst with banking issues and bank communications.
• Administer and monitor all credit card operations; coordinate with Merchant Services.
• Review and verify Petty Cash reconciliations and bank reconciliations.
• Back up local banking functions; support state accounting and reconciliation.
