Job summary

Fair Grounds Race Course is seeking a Cashier/Banker, Mutuels to assume sole custody of the Main Vault and Safe. The role requires strict cash handling, adherence to money handling policies, and accurate processing of mutuel and HRM deposits.

Responsibilities include safeguarding assets, processing cash transactions, verifying drops, and generating revenue reports. Candidates must be 21+, able to obtain required licenses, and have a high school diploma or GED.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years or older and eligible for licenses.
• Experience in cash operations or banking operations is preferred.
• Ability to interpret instructions and maintain accuracy in transactions.

Responsibilities

• Safeguards Main Bank assets and safekeeping funds.
• Handles all cash transactions between department staff.
• Verifies drop funds and related paperwork for accuracy.
• Maintains key control as custodian of sensitive keys.
• Prepares revenue reports and deposits during drops.
