Job summary

SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment seeks a dedicated Ambassador to handle daily cash controls, deposits, and reporting within a fast-paced park environment in San Antonio. You will support accounting functions, assist with training, and back up finance tasks as needed.

The role requires an AA or equivalent, strong math and communication skills, and the ability to interact positively with guests and teammates. Expect early mornings and weekend availability with a dynamic, team-focused atmosphere.

Qualifications

  • An AA or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
  • Strong basic math using whole numbers, fractions and decimals.
  • Strong organizational and verbal/written communication skills.
  • Ability to write effective business correspondence.
  • Ability to present information in one-on-one and small group settings.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must regularly lift/move up to 40 pounds.
  • Excellent interaction with park guests and coworkers of all ages and backgrounds.

Responsibilities

  • Receives, compiles, analyzes and interprets monetary transactions; monitors, computes, classifies, records and verifies daily deposits.
  • Makes adjustments as necessary to accounting systems.
  • Represents the organization with a positive attitude and high energy.
  • Performs daily, weekly, and monthly Cash Control duties (inventory, cash/coin, revenue input, filing).
  • Creates daily reports on discrepancies or training issues for Cash Control management.
  • Assist with training Cash Control Coordinators as needed.
  • Support Finance department projects and act as back-up where needed.
  • Maintain a safe, neat working environment and perform park cashier and SOP audits.

What You Get To Do
  • Receives, compiles, analyzes and interprets monetary transactions; monitors, computes, classifies, records and verifies the accuracy of daily deposits
  • Makes adjustments as necessary to accounting systems
  • Enthusiastically represents the organization by displaying a positive attitude, high level of energy and commitment to quality throughout all aspects of the job
  • Performs all daily, weekly, and monthly Cash Control duties, including, but not limited to: inventory, cash/coin processing, revenue transaction input, filing, inventory report creation, Over/Short reconciliation report creation
  • Creates daily report to Cash Control management on any department ambassador discrepancies or training issues
  • Assist with training of Cash Control Training Coordinators on all aspects of their duties as necessary
  • Assists with special projects in the Finance department as needed
  • Limited role as back-up for Finance areas
  • Maintains a safe and neat working environment
  • Performs park cashier and SOP audits as needed
  • Performs guest facing duties in park to ensure positive customer flow while audits are completed
  • Ensures excellent customer (internal & external) service by responding to customer requirements, expectations and needs
  • Occasionally assists other locations and areas throughout the park as needed
  • Other duties as assigned
What It Takes To Succeed
  • An Associate degree (AA) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel)
  • Strong basic math skills using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals
  • Strong organizational and verbal/written communication skills
  • Ability to write effective business correspondence
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to regularly use hands and fingers, reach with hands and arms, handle, feel, stoop or kneel
  • Ability to regularly lift/move up to 10 pounds; able to frequently lift/move up to 25 pounds; able to occasionally lift/move up to 40 pounds
  • Ability to stand, sit and/or kneel for prolonged periods of time
  • Ability to positively interact with park guests and co-workers of all ages, different ethnic/cultural backgrounds and/or language, and individuals with special needs
  • Ten-key experience preferred
  • Knowledge of all ATRB vault functions preferred
  • One to two years related experience and/or training is preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Additional training will be provided upon time of employment and as needed
  • Courses in Finance, Accounting, or other related field, a plus
  • 4 days of unrestricted availability to include 1 weekend day, holidays, early mornings and late evenings during peak season
  • 2 days of unrestricted availability to include 1 weekend day, holidays, early mornings and late evenings during non-peak season
  • Early morning (7 AM) availability
  • Valid Driver's License
