Job summary

Co-op is seeking a Cash and Banking Manager to lead the Cash and Banking team within the FC&O function. You will own cash and banking processes for Food, Property and Corporate areas, ensuring reconciliations are accurate and compliant, and you'll help manage working capital and financial risk across the business.

You'll lead a high-performing team, build strong controls, support audits, and collaborate across the organisation to deliver strategic financial insights and improvements that protect

Qualifications

• A relevant accountancy qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA or CIMA) is required.
• Experience leading teams and developing high-performing colleagues.
• Experience implementing financial controls in banking or shared services.
• Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent relationship-building and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead, support, and develop a high-performing team delivering a high-quality service.
• Oversee balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring accuracy, timeliness and control.
• Build consistent controls across end-to-end processes and support audits.
• Act as a trusted expert, managing complex queries and investment partner reconciliations.
• Help shape and deliver FC&O strategy across the organisation.
