Job summary

Venturi Supply is seeking a Cash Applications Specialist to support the accounts receivable team. You will process cash receipts, postings, inter-company transfers, and bank-related write-offs while maintaining audit-ready records and balancing daily transactions.

The role requires multi-site cash applications experience, strong communication, and proficiency with MS Office 365 and ERP systems. Collaboration with AR and finance teams is essential.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma; Associate's degree preferred.
• 3+ years of multi-site cash applications experience.
• Proficient with MS Office 365.
• Experience with distribution ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Process daily cash receipts and post to customer accounts, including charging card payments and credits/debits.
• Post inter-company transfers and non-customer payments; ensure proper postings and write-offs.
• Perform bank fee charge-offs.
• Identify daily unapplied amounts and balance to customer accounts; support AR.
• Maintain records for audits (remittances, bank statements, approved write-offs).
• Record payments from lockbox, EFTs, wires, and credit cards.
• Support AR Manager with cash receipts, applications, collections, bankruptcies.

Role Overview

The Cash Applications Specialist provides support to the accounts receivable department and performs cash applications functions.

Responsibilities

• Daily processing of cash receipts and postings to customer accounts, including charging payments made by credit card, other adjustments to customer accounts for credits/debits and account write-offs
• Ensure inter-company transfers are posted and handed off properly and non-customer payments posted properly
• Perform bank fee charge-offs
• Identify daily unapplied amounts, post to customer accounts, call on back-up and provide A.R
• Maintenance of records for auditing purposes (filing remittances, bank statements, approved write offs )
• Receiving and recording of US trade, export and intercompany payments received from lockbox, EFTs, wire transfers, credit cards
• Support center management and the A/R Manager with respect to any relevant issues relating to cash receipts, applications, collections, bankruptcies
• Encodes checks and balances checks received to cash receipts and encoding machine totals
• Collections Specialist and Deductions Specialist interaction
• Includes daily importation and balancing of sales batches

Requirements

• Education: High school diploma Associate's degree preferred.
• 3+ years of multi-site cash applications experience in the same or similar industry.
• Computer literate; Proficient with MS Office 365.
• Experience with distribution-specific ERP systems
• Ability to effectively communicate [written and verbal].
• Thrives in a collaborative team environment.
• Detailed oriented work style comfortable with multiple priorities being juggled while maintaining a consistent work approach.
• Physical requirements: sitting, standing, walking, lift to 50 lbs., carrying, reaching, pushing, and pulling.
• Ability to pass a background check, MVR check, and drug test.
