Job summary

Venturi Supply, a national distributor of pipe, valves, fittings, tanks and industrial supplies, is seeking a Warehouse Associate to pick, pack, and ship materials accurately and safely.

You will operate hand dollies, pallet jacks, and forklifts, perform quality checks, maintain inventory, and support a collaborative team in Decatur, GA. A HS diploma and 1+ year warehouse experience are required. This role offers competitive pay, health coverage, and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

  • 1+ years warehouse experience.
  • Computer literate with MS Office 365.
  • Strong written and verbal communication.
  • Team-oriented with attention to detail and multitasking.
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying conditions.
  • Background check, MVR check, and drug test are required.

Responsibilities

  • Pick, pack, and ship materials accurately and on time.

  • Perform quality inspections on incoming and outgoing materials.
  • Sort and place materials on racks or bins per inventory procedures.

Role Overview

The Warehouse Associate picks, packs, and ships supplies and materials to internal and external customers in an accurate and timely manner; efficiently and safely transports, sorts, and stocks materials.

Responsibilities
  • Transports incoming and outgoing materials to designated areas using appropriate tools/vehicles to accomplish task including hand dolly, forklift, electric dolly, pallet jack, and/or elevator.
  • Performs quality inspections on incoming and outgoing materials and products.
  • Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or bins according to predetermined inventory procedures.
  • Picks, packs, and ships materials and products.
  • Processes all packages for shipping; processes returned merchandise.
  • Conducts physical inventory counts; replenishes stock from back-up locations as needed.
  • Maintains a safe, clean working environment.
  • Follow all safety guidelines.
  • Follows all company policies and procedures.
  • Performs additional duties as required and assigned.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 1+ years of warehouse or related experience in the same or similar industry.
  • Computer literate; Proficient with MS Office 365.
  • Ability to effectively communicate [written and verbal].
  • Thrives in a collaborative team environment.
  • Detailed oriented work style comfortable with multiple priorities being juggled while maintaining a consistent work approach.
  • Physical requirements: sitting, standing, walking, lift to 50 lbs., carrying, reaching, pushing, and pulling, enduring frequent exposure to outside weather conditions.
  • Ability to pass a background check, MVR check, and drug test.
