Job summary

Saint-Gobain in the United States seeks a Cash Applications Manager to lead North American cash posting, reconciliation, and exception resolution within a multi-ERP environment. You will guide a team, reduce manual touches, and drive automation while ensuring accurate posting and timely close.

Key responsibilities include managing daily cash application, resolving unapplied cash, and partnering with IT/ERP teams to enhance data quality and automate processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent experience considered.
• 7+ years progressive cash application or related finance ops experience with leadership.
• Experience in high-volume, multi-entity environments; outsourcing experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of bank remittance, AR posting, reconciliation, and month-end close.
• Strong internal controls, process documentation, risk assessment, and audit support.
• Experience with large ERP systems and complex interfaces, SAP is a plus.
• Cash application automation, workflow, and reporting familiarity (e.g., BlackLine).
• Proven ability to lead, coach, and govern service providers and internal teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily cash application activities and prioritize workload.
• Ensure payments are identified, posted, reconciled timely; reduce manual touches.
• Resolve unapplied cash, short payments, and posting exceptions; root cause analysis.
• Balance banks, cash receipts, subledgers, and general ledgers; drive automation.
• Develop internal team, set expectations for quality, productivity, and controls.
• Oversee audits, controls, and evidence; support remediation actions.
• Partner with OTC solutions, IT, ERP teams to improve remittance data quality.
• Lead readiness for acquisitions, ERP migrations, and new remittance channels.
• Communicate performance and risks to stakeholders; participate in cross-functional OTC initiatives.
