  • Respond to inquiries from customers and internal teams about payments.
  • Support with additional accounting tasks and special projects.

Cash Applications Specialist

Location: Easton, PA (onsite)
Department: Finance / Accounting
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM

About the Role

As a Cash Applications Specialist, you’ll be responsible for receiving and applying customer payments with precision and efficiency. Your work ensures our financial records remain accurate and up‑to‑date, supporting both internal teams and our customers. This position plays a key role in our daily cash flow and overall accounting operations.


What You’ll Do

Payment Processing


  • Accurately process customer payments including cash, checks, credit cards, ACH, and wire transfers.

  • Batch mail check payments via Excel and prepare deposits.

  • Scan check payments using remote deposit tools.


Reconciliation & Reporting


  • Reconcile daily cash sheets with all processed payments.

  • Compile and deliver data for audits as needed.

  • Post end-of-month General Ledger entries.


Customer & Internal Support


  • Partner with the collections team to resolve payment discrepancies.

  • Respond to internal and customer inquiries regarding payment applications.


Special Projects & Additional Duties


  • Process billback auto-deductions.

  • Assist with other accounting or administrative tasks as assigned.

Technical Skills


  • Intermediate proficiency in Excel and Adobe.

  • Experience with web‑based programs; familiarity with INFOR Cash Applications Module is a plus.

  • Understanding of ACH, wire payments, reconciliations, and financial documentation.


Requirements


  • High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree preferred.

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in an office environment (finance background preferred).

  • Strong computer skills, including intermediate Excel.

  • Ability to work accurately under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Knowledge of ACH transfers, incoming wires, and related financial processes.
