Job summary

GSM Outdoors is seeking a detail-oriented Cash Application Specialist to join our Finance team. This role processes customer payments, posts them to invoices, and maintains accurate accounts receivable records to support timely cash collection.

The ideal candidate will handle high volumes with precision, investigate discrepancies, coordinate with internal teams and customers, and help improve cash application processes within a growing organization.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in Accounts Receivable, Cash Application, or related accounting preferred.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and ERP systems.
• Experience with accounting software or ERP platforms preferred.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Post customer payments by recording cash, checks, credit card transactions, and other forms of payment.
• Apply customer payments to the appropriate invoices and accounts.
• Verify payment information and supporting documentation for accuracy.
• Research unapplied cash and payment discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate cash application records and prepare reports as needed.
• Process authorized adjustments related to customer accounts.
• Participate in reconciliation and monthly closing activities.
