Job summary

Capital Health is seeking a Cash Posting Clerk to manage posting of cash, checks and electronic payments, ensuring timely deposits and accurate postings to patient and third‑party accounts.

Ideal candidates have at least one year of cash handling experience, a high school diploma, and familiarity with banking or cashier procedures. This full‑time role includes a 40‑hour work week and competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: One year experience handling cash in a professional setting.
• Special Training: Banking or cashier experience preferred
• Mental, Behavioral and Emotional Abilities: Able to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Posts all cash received by CH to appropriate patient or third‑party account timely and accurately.
• Posts and deposits all live checks received via regular mail timely.
• Prepares and balances all bank deposits daily — same day when possible.
• Balances live bank lockbox image against bank postings.
• Processes credit card payments for both insurance companies and patients.
• Researches unapplied/suspense cash and resolves posting exceptions daily.
• Retrieves back up remittances or explanations of benefits and files for department use.
• Completes ERA/EFT documentation for new payors.
