Job summary

National Retail Transportation, Inc. is seeking a Credit & Collections Cash Specialist for our Lyndhurst, NJ location. You will apply customer payments (checks, ACH/EFT, and EDI 820) in the AS400 AR system and support AR operations.

You will research discrepancies, prepare AR reports, and maintain cash records while liaising with IT on payment formats and processes. The role requires strong attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in cash applications or AR.
• Experience with AS400 systems preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Process and apply daily customer payments via check, ACH/EFT, and EDI 820 transactions in AS400 AR system.
• Research and resolve payment discrepancies, including overpayments/short pays.
• Prepare and distribute AR reports and cash receipts/adjustments reports.
• Maintain organized electronic records and assist with refunds/credits.
• Balance daily end-of-day AR and perform cash reconciliation.
• Collaborate with IT and stakeholders on new payment formats and processes.
