Children's Home in New York is seeking a preventive service case worker to support families from diverse backgrounds, assess risk, strengthen family functioning, and promote healthy parent-child relationships. Under the supervision of the Program Supervisor, you will conduct assessments (FASP), provide parenting groups and counseling, maintain documentation, and coordinate with DSS and schools.
Requires a Bachelor's in human services and a valid driver's license; bilingual Spanish strongly
Serving with Compassion, Creativity, and Consistency.
$22-24 an hour
Bilingual Spanish strongly preferred
Position Summary: The preventive service case worker supports families from diverse backgrounds, addressing needs to help keep families together. They assess risk and safety, work to strengthen and stabilize family functioning, and promote healthy parent-child relationships. Guided by the Program Supervisor, the case worker develops therapeutic relationships and serves as the primary service provider, aligning with the agency's family-centered approach.
