The Salvation Army USA Eastern Territory seeks a full-time Material Assistance Services Assistant at the Hilltop Worship & Service Center in Columbus, OH. You will handle clothing and furniture vouchers, fill food pantry orders, and register participants for seasonal programs, collaborating with the Corps Officer to advance the Mission.

This 35-hour, 8:30 a.m.–4:00 p.m. position offers $16.00 per hour, with generous PTO, holidays, health coverage, life and disability insurance, and a retirement

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in social work or related field preferred.
2 years’ experience in a social work setting or degree in lieu.
Valid Ohio Driver’s license and the ability obtain and maintain driving privileges per Salvation Army insurance standards.
Understanding and passion for The Salvation Army’s Mission.

Responsibilities

Coordinate Material Assistance Services including writing clothing and furniture vouchers.
Fill food pantry orders and register participants for seasonal programs.
Collaborate with the Corps Officer to carry out The Salvation Army’s mission and ministry.
