Job summary

The Salvation Army USA Eastern Territory seeks a full-time Material Assistance Services Assistant at the Hilltop Worship & Service Center in Columbus, OH. You will handle clothing and furniture vouchers, fill food pantry orders, and register participants for seasonal programs, collaborating with the Corps Officer to advance the Mission.

This 35-hour, 8:30 a.m.–4:00 p.m. position offers $16.00 per hour, with generous PTO, holidays, health coverage, life and disability insurance, and a retirement

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in social work or related field preferred.
• 2 years’ experience in a social work setting or degree in lieu.
• Valid Ohio Driver’s license and the ability obtain and maintain driving privileges per Salvation Army insurance standards.
• Understanding and passion for The Salvation Army’s Mission.

Classification:

Full-Time, Non-Exempt, 35 hours per week, 8:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Salary:

$16.00 per hour.

Job Focus:

This position is responsible for Material Assistance Services at the Hilltop Worship & Service Center location. Material Assistance services include writing clothing and furniture vouchers, filling food pantry orders, and registration for all seasonal programs. This position will work in harmony with the Corps Officer to carry out The Salvation Army’s mission and ministry.
