Job summary

Soar Autism Center is seeking a Case Supervisor in its Apex Program, designed for practicum students pursuing BCBA certification. You will work under supervision, gain hands-on clinical experience, and build skills toward becoming a BCBA.

You will supervise 1-3 client cases, accrue paid unrestricted hours, and participate in supervision, training, and interdisciplinary collaboration to advance your clinical readiness and career path.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in or recently completed a Master’s program in ABA or a related field that meets BCBA coursework requirements.
• Actively accruing practicum hours toward BCBA certification.
• Demonstrated ability to build rapport and trust with children and families.
• Emerging skills in case conceptualization, client programming, and clinical planning.
• Emerging skills in coaching and supporting RBTs.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a case supervisor for client cases, with scope determined by center needs, clinical readiness, and program progress.
• Accrue paid unrestricted hours through client programming, supervision, family guidance, assessment, and other BCBA-aligned responsibilities.
• Update client goals and programming using Soar’s electronic data collection platform.
• Provide support and supervision to RBTs, with coaching and feedback from BCBAs.
• Participate in ESDM-specific trainings to grow your clinical skillset.
• Learn to develop Behavior Intervention Plans using approaches such as Practical Functional Assessment and Skill-Based Treatment.
• Support family treatment guidance meetings using Soar’s in-house curriculum.
• Assist with assessments and reassessments for clients, including exposure to tools such as the Vineland, QABF, FAST, and ESDM Curriculum Checklist.
• Receive coaching and feedback from your Local Clinical Trainer, Partner Clinician, and other BCBAs in your clinic.
• Participate in interdisciplinary collaboration with Speech-Language Pathologists, Occupational Therapists, Psychologists, and other members of the integrated care team.
• Provide direct client therapy as part of your full-time role, with the weekly mix of direct therapy and unrestricted activities determined by center needs and program progress.
