Job Description And Duties
Under the supervision of the Supervising Case Records Technician (SCRT), the Case Records Technician (CRT) performs varied duties of complexity and difficulty, relating to processing, maintaining and controlling incarcerated persons and parolee records. Act as a departmental liaison on Case Records related issues, involving detailed, sensitive, and extensive interaction with State, City, County, private sector, law enforcement and other agencies. Duties involve intake, transfer, parole, and discharge processes and are in compliance with State laws, rules, regulations and departmental policies meeting statutory requirements.

Individuals who are eligible for a Training and Development assignment may also be considered for this position(s).

Possession of Minimum Qualifications will be verified prior to interview and/or appointment. Applicants who completed their education outside of the US (with foreign degrees/transcripts) must obtain and submit verification of U.S. course/degree equivalency. Foreign education credential evaluation services can be found at NACES | National Association of Credential Evaluation Services .

Candidates new to CDCR/CCHCS are required to submit to a background investigation process utilizing Live Scan Fingerprinting, as well as a Tuberculosis test/evaluation prior to appointment, followed by department annual Tuberculosis testing/evaluation thereafter.
