Job summary

Catholic Guardian Services is seeking a dedicated Case Planner for our Specialized Family Foster Care program in Harlem, NY. The role involves supporting birth and foster families, guiding plans, and addressing emotional/behavioral needs of children.

Requirements include a BA/BSW, 1–2 years in child welfare, and ability to travel across NYC. Preferred MSW and foster care experience; flexible schedule with evenings and weekends may be necessary.

General Responsibilities:
Catholic Guardian Services is looking for a dedicated and experienced Case Planner for our Specialized Family Foster Care program. The Case Planner supports the birth and foster parents’ perseverance with children through challenging periods of extreme and troubling behavior and models appropriate responses and teaching strategies. Guiding adolescent birth parents and foster parents through a proactive process of assessment, goal setting, and treatment planning to address the children’s current emotional/behavioral problems, accomplishes this task. specific treatment plans.
Requirements:

• BA/BSW,
• 1-2 years child welfare related experience,
• Prior experience working with adolescents and a passionate commitment to permanency for adolescents
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including periodic evenings and weekends, ability to travel to community settings throughout NYC.

Preferred (but not required)

• Foster Care experience
• Drivers license
• MSW
