Job summary

Harbor House in San Francisco, CA, is hiring a Caseworker to provide case management and AOD counseling within a shelter for families. The role includes intakes, assessments, and coordinating housing, mental health, and employment services to help residents reach personalized goals.

You will ensure program compliance, discharge planning, and transitions to permanent housing while reporting to the Shelter Manager. A minimum of 1 year in case management and AOD credentials are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• An associate degree in social work, human services, psychology, sociology, or related field is preferred.
• AOD credentials registered or certified are required.
• First Aid and CPR certification within fourteen days of employment are required.

Responsibilities

• Provide case management for homeless families and coordinate services.
• Maintain accurate records and submit quarterly reports.
• Conduct intakes, assessments, and discharge planning.
• Follow confidentiality, mandated reporting, and licensing rules.
• Lead or participate in case reviews and community outreach.
• Accept housing and recovery resource referrals as needed.
