Brooklyn Community Services (BCS) is seeking a Case Manager for the Family Shelter program. The role focuses on trauma-informed case management to support families in stabilizing immediate needs and pursuing permanent housing.
You will work with shelter staff to develop individualized service plans, connect clients to housing resources, benefits, and mental health supports, and ensure accurate documentation in CARES and DHS systems. Strong communication and collaboration are essential.

Program Description
Brooklyn Community Services (BCS) operates family shelters providing safe, supportive, and dignified transitional housing for families with children experiencing homelessness. Our shelter programs are guided by a trauma-informed, strengths-based philosophy and offer a comprehensive continuum of services—including case management, housing placement, recreation, and supportive programming to help families achieve stability and permanent housing as quickly as possible. Position Overview
The Case Manager provides comprehensive, trauma-informed case management services to families residing in the shelter. Working as a key member of the social services team, the Case Manager supports families in stabilizing their immediate needs, addressing barriers to housing, and developing and implementing individualized service plans toward permanent housing and self-sufficiency.
