Brooklyn Community Services is seeking a Case Manager for the Family Shelter to provide trauma-informed, family-centered case management, stabilization, and housing placement services at our Brooklyn shelter. You will develop individualized service plans, connect families to benefits and housing programs, document work in CARES, and participate in supervision and team meetings.
A Bachelor's degree is required; MSW preferred; experience in shelter or family services is strongly preferred;

Status/Hours: Full-time, Monday – Friday (some evening hours may be required)
Salary Range: $50,000 - $50,000
Program Description
Brooklyn Community Services (BCS) operates family shelters providing safe, supportive, and dignified transitional housing for families with children experiencing homelessness. Our shelter programs are guided by a trauma-informed, strengths-based philosophy and offer a comprehensive continuum of services—including case management, housing placement, recreation, and supportive programming to help families achieve stability and permanent housing as quickly as possible. Position Overview
The Case Manager provides comprehensive, trauma-informed case management services to families residing in the shelter. Working as a key member of the social services team, the Case Manager supports families in stabilizing their immediate needs, addressing barriers to housing, and developing and implementing individualized service plans toward permanent housing and self-sufficiency.
