Job Overview
Alaska Addiction Rehabilitation Services Inc is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing compassionate, client-centered care for individuals on their journey to recovery from substances. Our team is passionate about making a difference in the lives of those we serve, and we are seeking a skilled and empathetic Case Manager to join our mission-driven team.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in behavioral health, substance use disorder with a focus on providing support to individuals facing various challenges and dual diagnosis issues. As a Case Manager, you will play a pivotal role in guiding clients through their healing journey.
Duties
- Provide case management to clients, assisting clients in identifying case management services; as needed, in accordance to best practices.
- Accomplish clients care by assessing treatment needs; developing, monitoring, and evaluating treatment plans and progress; facilitating interdisciplinary approaches.
- Maintain client records in a timely, orderly manner according to the guidelines established in the agency treatment manual, reviewing case notes; logging events and progress, and documenting all billable interactions into AKAIMS, utilizing DAP note formatting.
- Perform intake assessment interviews using the bio-psychosocial assessment documents, the DSM-IV Diagnostic Criteria and the ASAM: reviewing counselor evaluations, treatment objectives, and plans.
Qualifications
- Have High School Diploma or GED, an associate degree in human services or related field is preferred.
- Have a QAP equivalent certification.
- Experience working in a residential setting preferred.
- Must be knowledgeable of the interaction between chemical dependency and mental illness and the treatment issues related to dual disorders.
- Must be able to communicate effectively verbally and in written form.
