Job summary

Guardian Angel Settlement Association is seeking a Case Worker to provide case management, advocacy, crisis intervention, and referrals for low-income individuals and families through the Social Services Department, focusing on client well-being, stability, and violence prevention.

This full-time, non-exempt role reports to the Sr. Director of Programs; schedule: Monday – TBD; salary: $40,000–$45,000. Local travel and reliable transportation are required.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Social Work, Psychology, or related field with two years of relevant experience.
• Strong oral and written communication skills; ability to advocate and intervene in crises.
• Able to work with diverse populations and handle high-stress situations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct individual client assessments to determine needs and resources.
• Provide crisis intervention and emotional support to clients in distress.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans for client stability and progress.
• Assist clients with applying for local, state, and federal benefits.
• Arrange transportation for essential services, court hearings, medical appointments, and employment.
• Maintain confidential client records and document progress.
