Job summary

The Arc of Anchorage is seeking a Case Manager to oversee services for individuals, aligning with each person’s outcomes and The Arc’s mission. You will coordinate licensing, ensure regulatory compliance, and connect clients to community supports.

This role requires residence in Anchorage and offers a signing bonus and paid time off benefits in the first year, reflecting our commitment to stable, community-based care.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required; Associate degree in Human Services preferred.
  • Two years of social services work experience with case management responsibilities strongly preferred.
  • One year in the field of developmental disabilities preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates with agency licensing personnel for initial and annual licensing of Foster Care and Assisted Living Homes
  • Assures placements are appropriate by agency standards and procedures, and licensing regulations
  • Assures ongoing compliance with licensing regulations and HUD requirements
  • Refers and assists individuals/families to appropriate community services/entitlements
  • Develops and writes each person's Habilitation Plan
  • Performs monthly checks of each residence and assigned vehicle to ensure they are in good condition and maintenance schedules as followed
  • May provide direct care support, as directed by supervisor
  • Makes reports in cases of known or suspected abuse and neglect under Alaska Statutes and The Arc of Anchorage Abuse/Neglect Policies
  • Directs the activities of assigned staff or functions

Summary

The Case Manager oversees the provision of services and supports to individuals in accordance with each individual's identified outcomes as well as The Arc's Mission Statement and Guiding Values. The Case Manager is accountable to the person receiving support, their team, and the agency.

Essential Job Functions

Education and Experience
  • High School Diploma or GED required. Associate degree in Human Services preferred.
  • Two years previous social services work experience with case management responsibilities strongly preferred
  • One year in the field of developmental disabilities preferred
Clearances
  • Background checks as defined by licensing agencies
  • TB Test, Valid driver's license, and proof of auto insurance
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to move about
  • Must be physically able to evacuate individuals in the event of an emergency
  • Ability to see within normal parameters
  • Ability to hear within normal range
  • Adaptability to a fast-paced environment
