Job summary

Connection House, a program of The Connection Inc. in Middletown, CT, seeks a Case Manager 1 to provide structured, client-centered case management, job development and supervision for justice-involved men re-entering the community.

Requirements include a High School Diploma/GED (or an Associate’s Degree) and a valid driver’s license; regular attendance is essential. 2nd shift, full-time, 40 hours, Fri-Tue, 3–11 pm.

Responsibilities

Location: Middletown

Salary: $22.00/hour

Schedule: Full time, 40 hours, 2nd shift, Friday-Tuesday (3-11p)

Program Summary

Connection House is a residential work release program that provides educational and addiction services to adult males with substance use issues who are preparing to exit the criminal justice system. The three main purposes of the program are to maintain healthy recovery, secure employment, and become productive citizens.

Position Summary

The Case Manager 1 will utilize a strengths-based & client-centered approach, providing structure, case management, job development and supervision to justice-involved men as they re-enter the community. The ideal candidate will have experience working with individuals in recovery and/or those who are justice-involved. An ability to be both structured and compassionate while maintaining professional and respectful boundaries is required.

Working within Adult Services, the Case Manager 1 works with Community Justice program staff to help to rehabilitate, educate, and successfully guide clients from incarceration back into the community.

Orientation

If selected for employment with The Connection, newly hired employees will be required to attend a two (2) day mandatory New Hire Orientation at our Roscommon office located in Middletown.
