Job summary

Maximus is seeking dedicated Case Managers to coordinate workforce services and help participants make meaningful progress toward education, employment skills, and job retention. This on-site role in Burbank, CA requires strong case management experience and bilingual English/Spanish communication.

You will assess barriers, develop Employment Plans, connect to community resources, and support participants throughout placement and retention.

Qualifications

  • Must have a high school diploma or GED and 4+ years of relevant experience.
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English.
  • Prior Case Management experience is required.
  • Prior employment skills and training experience is expected.

Responsibilities

  • Offer comprehensive case management services to a caseload of program participants facing significant obstacles to employment.
  • Utilize specialized expertise to address barriers to employment for participants including those on Cash Assistance or with non-compliance history.
  • Assess barriers to employment when determining suitable program placements.
  • Conduct job readiness screenings and assessments to gauge participant readiness for employment.
  • Develop Employment Plans and coordinate all project services for each participant.
  • Connect participants with community resources and provide follow-up to ensure effective service delivery.
  • Provide employment counseling and job leads to facilitate placement and retention.
  • Initiate non-compliance procedures and manage related processes.
  • Participate in workgroups and committees to assess customer needs and improve services.

Job description

Maximus is looking for Case Managers to be responsible for coordinating workforce services and to help ensure that their participants is making meaningful progress toward enhancing education, employment skills, preparing for, finding, and retaining employment.

This position will work on-site in Burbank, CA.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Offer comprehensive case management services to a caseload of program participants facing significant obstacles to employment.
  • Utilize specialized expertise to address unique challenges faced by participants on long-term Cash Assistance, those with a history of sanctions or program non-compliance, or individuals with ex-offender status.
  • Consider and evaluate barriers to employment when determining appropriate program placements for participants.
  • Conduct job readiness screenings and assessments to gauge participant readiness for employment.
  • Evaluate participants' needs for Back to Work services and assist in formulating individualized Employment Plans.
  • Direct applicants and participants to suitable program components, ensuring their engagement in beneficial services.
  • Oversee and coordinate all project services provided to each participant, ensuring comprehensive support.
  • Connect program participants with community resources such as long-term and emergency childcare services, providing follow-up to ensure effective service delivery.
  • Offer employment counseling and job leads, facilitating job placement and retention for participants.
  • Provide ongoing support to maintain stability in employment, coordinating retention activities as needed.
  • Initiate non-compliance procedures and manage the process for participants who fail to meet program requirements.
  • Regularly engage in workgroups and committees focused on assessing customer needs, enhancing services, and implementing innovative strategies.
  • Perform additional duties as directed by management.
Minimum Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED required and 4+ years of relevant professional experience required, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English
  • Prior Case Management experience
  • Prior employment skills and training experience
