Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate of a nursing program - ADN required; BSN preferred.
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of North Carolina.
• Three (3) years of clinical nursing experience preferred.
• Utilization Review or Quality Management experience preferred.
• Certification from the American Case Management Association preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate patient care by reviewing admissions and continued stays.
• Assess effective resource utilization while promoting quality, safety, and positive patient outcomes.
• Collaborate with patients, families, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to support coordinated care.
• Monitor patient outcomes and help identify and resolve barriers to effective care.
• Promote ethical decision-making and maintain a patient-centered approach to care.
• Support problem aversion and contribute to a top-decile patient experience, quality, and safety.
• Communicate clearly and compassionately with patients and families throughout the care process.
• Support coworkers, patients, and visitors by providing assistance within the scope of practice.
