Job summary

UNC Health Appalachian is seeking an RN in Case Management to coordinate patient care, review admissions and continued stays, and promote safe, efficient use of resources in a dynamic healthcare setting.

You will collaborate with physicians, nurses, patients, and families to support coordinated care, monitor outcomes, and address barriers to timely, ethical, patient-centered treatment, while upholding professional nursing standards.

Qualifications

• ADN required; BSN preferred.
• Current NC RN license is required.
• Three years of clinical nursing experience preferred.
• Utilization Review or Quality Management experience preferred.
• Certification from the American Case Management Association preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate patient care by reviewing admissions and continued stays for clinical appropriateness.
• Assess resource utilization while promoting quality, safety, and positive outcomes.
• Collaborate with patients, families, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to support coordinated care.
• Monitor patient outcomes and identify barriers to effective care.
• Promote ethical nursing practice and patient-centered care.
