You will handle clerical tasks, obtain authorizations, coordinate post-acute services, and assist with discharge packets and follow-up with providers and payors. A strong attention to detail and healthcare knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; knowledge of medical terminology.
• Minimum one year of Administrative Assistant or higher experience.
• Experience in a health care or health insurance setting.
• Significant computer/data gathering and processing experience.

Responsibilities

• Provides clerical and administrative support to the Case Management team to facilitate care coordination, discharge planning, and utilization review.
• Tracking dates that concurrent reviews are due to third party payors and obtaining authorizations.
• Assists with arranging post-discharge services and post-discharge physician appointments.
• Prepares discharge packets and follows up with providers and payors as needed.
