Bethany Christian Services USA LLC in Atlanta, GA seeks a Part-time Case Aide to support refugee and immigrant programs on-site. The role emphasizes transportation, interpretation, and coordination with foster families and the treatment team.

Responsibilities

• Provide transportation to clients for medical, legal appointments, hearings, and other social services.
• Report behavior of children during transportation to foster parents and treatment team.
• Assist with intake and discharge transportation, including inter-state travel for reunification with a sponsor.
• Assist medical team with administrative tasks as needed.
• Provide language interpretation for appointments as needed.
• Supervise youth in classrooms when required.
• Maintain professional boundaries and trauma-informed environment.

How Your Role Makes a Difference

• Provide transportation to clients for but not limited to medical appointments, legal appointments, hearings, and other social agencies;
• Effectively report the behavior’s of children during transportation to foster parents and the treatment team;
• Provide assistance with intake and discharge related transportation to include travel from state-tostate for reunification with a sponsor;
• Assist the medical team with administrative task, as needed;
• Provide language interpretation to clients for appointments out in the community, when needed;
• Provide supervision of youth in the classroom, when needed;
• Ensure professional boundaries are established and maintained at all times on the job and especially when supervising youth;
• Maintain an adequate knowledge of trauma and attend continuous training in the Sanctuary Model of Care to ensure compliance with trauma informed environment;
• Essential job responsibilities may vary based on the specific needs of each program/department;
• May be required or asked to participate in a Bethany sponsored event;
• Complete other duties as assigned.

What Will Make You Successful

• High School Diploma or equivalent;
• Bilingual: English and Spanish;
• Knowledge of trauma and willing to be trained in the Sanctuary Model of Care to ensure compliance with trauma-informed environment;
• Demonstrated organizational skills;
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
• Must be willing and able to provide language interpretation services;
• Must have an ability to provide excellent and compassionate customer service;
• Ability to work independently with strong attention to detail;
• Must be reliable with time sensitive deadlines and tasks;
• Computer skills sufficient to perform essential functions including knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite;
• Must be 21 years old with a valid driver’s license with at least 3 years of driving experience in the U.S. to operate a vehicle on behalf of Bethany;
• Must pass a Motor Vehicle Records (MVR) check and maintain a reliable vehicle with proof of adequate insurance coverage;
• Pass a criminal history screen, including state and local child protection agency registries;
• Exhibit integrity and good moral character to provide appropriate care;
• Possess the relevant experience and/or qualifications to work with these clients and clients with special needs; and be properly trained and licensed, as necessary.
• Must be able to show proof of immunity to vaccine-preventable diseases transmitted by the respiratory route:
• TDap or Tdap: Complete primary vaccination series. If primary vaccination series completed one childhood, one Tdap dose in adulthood.
• Results of medical examination (as required by State Licensing, including results of TB tests and immunization records).
• Subscription to and integration of the agency Statement of Faith, Mission Statement, and Commitment to Unity.
